Seeing as our last short story competition went so well, we’ve decided to do another one! To celebrate the publication of Tad Williams’ Happy Hour In Hell on the 26th September, we want you to write a story titled “One Night At The Compasses”.

It could have been a quite evening of reflection and conversation, or a hell-raising night that you only half remember… all we ask is that it’s set in Bobby Dollar’s favourite pub The Compasses, and it’s between 500 and 1,000 words.

The winner will get their story posted on the blog on Happy Hour’s publication day and they’ll also get copies of Dirty Streets Of Heaven, Happy Hour In Hell AND a collection of other Hodderscape books! We might even throw in a couple of advance proof copies…

Just email your entries to hodderscape@hodder.co.uk before Monday 23rd October.

Oh, and we’ll also be running something special on Twitter and Facebook too, for those of you who prefer snappy one-liners… Details will be coming very soon!
